Despite the relative lack of activity on the blog as of late, we’ve actually been reasonably active here at TTS. We thought maybe it would be worthwhile to give y’all a little insight as to what we’ve been up to.

First off, we’ve been putting time into our audio and video podcasts. We’re up to 12 episodes as of this writing, usually have one in the can at any given time (freqeuently waiting on post-production), and plan to continue these with more regularity.

We quite literally talk cars and life – and sometimes even politics, albeit among ourselves – almost every day. Sometimes the discussion is poignant, sometimes it’s topical, more often than not it’s a little irreverent (“You’ve spelled ‘irrelevant’ wrong” ~ Ed.), and often not without some humor.

The podcast is our attempt to not only capture these conversations for posterity but also to invite you – the watcher or listener – into the room, the car, or wherever. In the not-too-distant future we plan on having guests, assuming we can con any of our car buddies into doing it. You can find the shows on this site, our YouTube channel, or by whatever means you usually get your podcasts.

We’ve also been posting some “look-and-drive” videos to the YouTube channel. These cover some of the (presumably) more interesting cars that pass through our fleets. If we’re honest, Reed posts more of those because he changes cars more regularly than Jonathan. Jonathan may get around to introducing you to his small fleet, or even some other fun videos, but for now we recommend his short film on reheating pizza (a life skill if there ever was one).

We’ve added “Factory or Fuckery” to the TTS lexicon (above, top) and canonized “Nostalgia is a Funny Thing” with its very own logo. Look for more on these topics as we go.

What does everyone think about swag, like t-shirts or hats or stickers? You can never have enough car t-shirts, right? Would you wear one to an Infiniti VQ meet-up that says, “Your car sounds broken?” We’re betting you would.

We’ve also kicked off a new Facebook group: Moon Mile Cars. The basic theory is that high mileage should not be a reason to automatically dismiss a car. In fact, some of the best deals on some of the best cars come along because they were actually driven – A LOT!

To us, a well-maintained, higher-mileage car can be just as enticing a proposition as a plastic-wrapped garage queen. Indeed, in many cases the moon-miler is more compelling. Ever brought a low- or no-mileage car back to driver status? We have, and it can be a nightmare. Come join the group and the conversation, if you Facebook.

Last but not least, we still plan to post about cars we discover in our travels around the internet, the travels we take around the globe, and some of those other “little bit of life” things that you’ve told us you like to hear about. While we’ve been a little, ahem, light on content lately, we’re also not done just yet.

So tell us: What would YOU like to see in this space?
